Why are German companies doubling down on China? With a consumer base that embraces innovation, world-leading savings, an unmatched supply chain, and a highly skilled workforce, China remains an indispensable market for German enterprises.
"Chinese consumers are the most willing to embrace new things and value innovation," said Susan Gao, managing director of the German Center for Industry and Trade Beijing, at a promotional concert for the launch of Beethoven wine in China recently.
Despite competition and pricing pressures from local firms, over 95% of German companies choose to stay, and more than half plan to expand their investments within the next five years, according to Gao.
The question isn't whether they'll leave—it's how they'll innovate to stay ahead. Watch to find out why China remains key to their global strategy.
